Asbestos and Benzene

Asbestos is a type of rock that is made of billions of microscopic fibers that can we weaved into fabrics, insulation, or used to reinforce other materials and make it fire-resistant. Asbestos was used in thousands of commercial and industrial products, mostly in the 1950's to the 1970's. Asbestos is virtually indestructible and is still in place in thousands of homes and businessplaces. Asbestos causes a few serious, life-threatening diseases including asbestosis (a disease of the lungs), mesothelioma (a fatal cancer of the lining of the lungs and the lining of the digestive cavity), lung cancer, and nose/throat cancer. Asbestos, mixed with smoking cigarettes, is even more dangerous.

Workers exposed to asbestos decades ago can begin to experience symptoms now.

If you or a loved one is diagnosed with lung cancer, mesothelioma, or asbestosis, and worked in an industrial facility, or was in one of the following trades, call us for a free consultation:

Auto mechanic

Scaffold builder

We have litigated hundreds of asbestos and mesothelioma cases, know the ins and outs of industry and the defense tactics to defeat these types of cases and have years of experience in the Texas and Federal Multi-District Asbestos Litigations.

Benzene is an industrial solvent that causes Acute-Mylgenous Leukemia (AML), Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia (CML), and Aplastic Anemia (AA). These blood cancers arise decades after exposure to benzene and products containing benzene, like the solvent Naptha.

Workers in tire manufacturing plants, rubber manufacturing plants, and in industrial shops where degreasing agents are used (painters, mechanics), were exposed to benezene and can develop blood cancers decades later. Workers in silicone computer chip plants and/or "clean rooms" can also be exposed to high concentrations of benzene.

We have years of experience litigating benzene-exposure cases, know the industries and the highly specialized science.

If you or a loved one was exposed to benzene or industrial solvents, and is diagnosed with Acute-Mylgenous Leukemia (AML), Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia (CML), and Aplastic Anemia (AA), give us call or send an email for a free consultation.
